Well, with the hopes that we have ended the strange weather I am trying to set up a Surf Fishing event for April 22 at Fort Fisher. Should the weather be rainy then it’s automatically canceled.
If you care to be there, I am hoping to start at 8 AM so please be prepared. Carpooling is better due to gasoline prices. So make your arrangements.
Preparations include a North Carolina fishing license if you haven’t had one already, bait, Fishing Tackle, Chairs, sunblock, hat and the appropriate attire to wear. Food and drink is your choice to bring.
I am forwarding this out to both clubs to have them disseminate this information to their members.
I hope everybody who gets this is on the mailing list. Please check the monthly Fishing calendars at your individual club to ensure this information has been listed.
Any questions you’re always welcome to send me a text and I will answer it within 24 hrs please include your name & email or text number. Thanks again.…Joe D’Amato
Ps-do check the fishing reports for what is running.

April is a busy month for fishing in NC . BUT here’s one fish you can target off the beach only a short time in the beginning of April, Pompano off the beach . Areas to go for them Oak Island or Caswell Beach. The best tide is middle half of the incoming tide to middle half of the outgoing tide going tide.
